A quiz doesn't bring visitors; it makes the most of the ones you send. Here's how to get the first hundred without spending anything, so you can see your quiz working before you put money behind it.
Where to share the link
Groups you already belong to. Facebook groups, Reddit communities, Discord servers, forums in your niche. Post as a member, not a marketer: "I made a quick quiz on X — curious what you get." Read the group's rules on links first; many allow them in comments or on specific days.
Your own social profiles. A quiz is one of the few things people will click from a personal post, because the result is about them. Pin it to your profile. Add the link to your Instagram, TikTok or X bio.
Short video. A 20-second phone video — "I took this quiz and got The Planner, what did you get?" — with the link in the caption or bio. This is the single best free channel for quizzes right now.
Pinterest. Quizzes are evergreen pins. One image, the quiz title, the link. Pins keep sending traffic for months.
Your email, if you have one. Even a small list. Subject line is the quiz title.
Where your offer's buyers already are. If it's a fitness offer, fitness groups. Obvious, and skipped surprisingly often.
Make the link easy to click
- Use the QR code from the Share panel anywhere physical or on video.
- Add a UTM tag per place you share (
?utm_source=facebookgroup) so you can see which one worked. See Tracking campaigns with UTM tags. - If you have a website or blog, embed the quiz rather than linking out. See Embedding a quiz.
What to look at after the first fifty
Open your quiz and expand Analytics.
- Starts but few finishes? Look at where the drop is. A cliff at one question means that question is the problem; a cliff at the email step means the results don't sound valuable enough yet. Re-roll and try again.
- Finishes but few clicks on your offer? Rewrite the outcome so the offer is the obvious next step for that type of person. "Rewrite with AI" with the instruction "make the offer feel like the natural next step".
- Leads arriving? Good. Now you know the quiz converts, and paid traffic becomes a multiplication problem instead of a gamble.
When to start paying for traffic
When a hundred visitors have produced leads and at least one sale, and you can see in your Analytics why. Not before. Set up your tracking pixels first so the ad platform can learn from the leads you're already getting.
